Analytica China strengthens its role as China's hot spot for the community
2013-12-15

This year's AnalyticaChina confirmed its significance as a meeting place and business platform for analysis, biotechnology, diagnostics and laboratory technology in China as well as in Asia. Following a successful premiere in Shanghai in 2002, AnalyticaChina 2006, in its third edition, sets new records during the three-day event at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, from September 19 to 21, 2006. The scale of exhibition space is up by more than 64% compared with the last edition in 2004, increasing to a total of 11,500 square meters, and the number of exhibitors has increased by 34% to 268. With 8,557 visitors, AnalyticaChina 2006 registered a 30-percent increase compared with the last edition. These positive numbers reflect the growing interest that foreign companies are taking in the Chinese market and underscore the continuing importance of trade shows as business and networking platforms.

As in the past, the companies exhibiting in Shanghai include some of the industry's key international players such as AnalytikJena, B¨¹chi, Eppendorf, Fisher Scientific, Merck, Mettler Toledo, Miele, Millipore, Perkin Elmer, Retsch, Shimadzu, Thermo and Waters. With 39 companies, Germany has the largest contingent of exhibitors, followed by national pavilions from Spain, Great Britain and Wallonia, Belgium.

"This year's AnalyticaChina Conference stresses the needs of engineers and scientists in different applications, such as Quality Control, Food Safety, Environment Protection, etc, and the speakers represent the whole spectrum of the Analytica and Bio-Analytical Industries, and thus has made a firm step on the way to become a high-level international scientific conference," said Prof. Qiu from China Chemistry Society, who is also an organizer of this conference.

A special conference to address the analytical solutions for RoHS in the field of electronic production is held on the second day of the show.  The speakers come from leading agencies and instrument manufacturers like SGS, AnalytikJena, Shimadzu, Thermo and others.

Alliance with Strong Partner
The success of the third edition of AnalyticaChina confirmed its role as the leading trade fair for analysis, biotechnology, diagnostics and laboratory technology in China.  Starting from 2004, AnalyticaChina has formed close partnership with another leading analytical trade show, Beijing Conference and Exhibition of Instrumental Analysis BCEIA, which will be held in Beijing every odd year, with the aim to build jointly the best marketing platform for instrument manufacturers who are active in the Chinese market.

Co-Location with IFAT China in September 2008
The next edition of AnalyticaChina will take place from 23-25 of September 2008, at the same venue, SNIEC, together with IFAT China which is an international trade fair for environmental protection.  The organizer firmly believes the cooperation with IFAT will bring AnalyticaChina more buyers from the fields of environment protection.
